Winter work became quite busy for the first time since covid hit, I even had to turn away some enquiries as I was already booked. Some owners headed abroad, some eventually could meet family and friends or some just wanted to enjoy a long weekend away. Pet routines became slightly altered to adapt to the winter darkness, with less exercise due to weather conditions, for example having four storms in one week recently didn’t help. But all needed attention, feeding and of course routines kept to their usual as much as possible, outside time was very limited.
But, it is already March the first, Spring is in the air! With a very wet and windy winter, hopefully behind us, our pets will be eager to get and about in the fresh air. Lighter afternoons, helps extend our time outside for those preferring a later walk in the afternoon with their dogs, especially when returning from work or school. So let’s enjoy the month, where the lighter days increase at the greatest rate.
